eBooks on OpenLibrary

Ms. Prowell may be gone and we may never get another story from her (even though there are rumors that one or two was started but possibly not completed) but we can all read her three books again and again. Talk about them and even maybe write our own stories with her characters to entertain ourselves. I have updated the author information on the OpenLibrary.org website as now they have available all three books in Adobe Digital Reader format that you can check out for 14 days for free. I really recommend that you use their online reader as one of the digital copies I downloaded to read on my computer was really faded. It looked fine online though so I will have to borrow that copy and read it where I have unlimited access internet.

You can sign up with OpenLibrary for FREE and check out books for 14 days. We looked for an iPhone app for the site but could only find a search engine type thing and it wasn’t very user friendly or give us the ability to check out books and read them. And the Adobe Digital Reader software for PC and the app are both very buggy still. Extremely slow and frustrating would be the word I and others would use. It is an extremely worthwhile site and has a fund-raising campaign going still even though they have met their collection goal for this year. You can also donate copies of paperback books for the to digitize and make available online for others to enjoy. Check out their FAQ page for more information.

We also have been gathering information for a more complete biography for our home page. If you would like to contribute information to the biography we hope you will get in touch using our CONTACT US form. Of course, more pictures would always be nice to add to the site.
